Research Triangle Park, N.C. (19 December 2007)–Dan Green, Randy Mouw, Scott Heynen, Devlin McClure, and Lowell Dykstra have recently been certified as Level I ISA Certified Control Systems Technicians (CCST®).

Developed in 1995 by ISA—The Instrumentation, Systems, and Automation Society, the CCST program has certified more than 4,000 technicians.  The program was created to ensure competence and professionalism in the instrumentation, systems, and automation workforce.

In order to become certified, each person demonstrated knowledge in eight key performance domains, including calibration, loop checking, troubleshooting, start-up, documentation, project organization, maintenance and repair, and microprocessor-based instruments and controllers use.

The CCST program benefits managers and technicians by promoting the professional development of control systems technicians.  The program documents a technician’s knowledge, experience and education in instrumentation, measurement, and control.
